At Latte Oracle, we believe your coffee should be mysterious—not your privacy. This policy explains what information we process, why we process it, and what happens to it when you use Latte Oracle.

1. Who We Are

Latte Oracle is an online service available at latteoracle.com.

2. Coffee Photos You Provide

When you upload or take a photo of your coffee, the image is processed so that Latte Oracle can generate your reading.

Your coffee image is:

• used to generate the reading you requested;
• sent securely to our AI processing provider;
• not intentionally stored permanently by Latte Oracle.

Latte Oracle does not use your coffee photo to identify you. However, you should avoid uploading photographs that contain people, private documents, addresses or other personal information that you do not want processed.

3. AI Processing

Latte Oracle uses the OpenAI API to analyse uploaded coffee images and generate readings.

We have not opted in to sharing API inputs or outputs with OpenAI for model training or model improvement.

4. Analytics

If you choose to accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how Latte Oracle is used and how we can improve it.

Examples of the activity we measure include:

• page visits;
• whether an image was selected;
• whether a reading was started or completed;
• reading performance and failures;
• whether the sharing feature was used.

We do not intentionally send your uploaded coffee image or generated prophecy to Google Analytics.

5. Technical Information

When you access Latte Oracle, limited technical information may be processed automatically by the website and our service providers.

This can include information such as:

• IP address;
• browser and device information;
• request timestamps;
• technical logs used to operate and secure the service.

6. Third-Party Services

Latte Oracle currently relies on the following service providers:

• OpenAI — to process coffee images and generate readings;
• Google Analytics — to measure website usage where analytics consent has been given;
• Render — to host and operate Latte Oracle.

These providers may process information on our behalf and maintain their own privacy and security practices.

7. How Long We Keep Information

Latte Oracle does not intentionally retain uploaded coffee images or generated readings once the request has been completed.

Technical server logs may be retained temporarily by our hosting provider for operational and security purposes.

Analytics information is retained according to the settings configured within Google Analytics.

8. Lawful Basis for Processing

Under UK data protection law, personal information must only be processed where there is a valid lawful basis.

When you submit a coffee image, we process it in order to provide the Latte Oracle reading that you have requested.

Where analytics cookies or similar technologies are used, we rely on your consent. You can reject analytics cookies or withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie preferences available on Latte Oracle.

9. Your Rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights in relation to your personal information, including rights to:

• request access to personal information about you;
• ask for inaccurate information to be corrected;
• ask for information to be deleted in certain circumstances;
• restrict or object to certain types of processing;
• withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

Because Latte Oracle does not create user accounts and does not intentionally retain coffee images or readings, we may hold little or no information that can be connected back to an individual user.

10. Complaints

If you have concerns about how Latte Oracle handles your personal information, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve the issue.

You also have the right to raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

11. Changes to This Policy

Latte Oracle may evolve over time, and this Privacy Policy may be updated when our features or data practices change.

The latest version will always be published on this page, together with its most recent update date.
